The Wisconsin Old West Shootists Board of Directors have decided to cancel the Cancer Shoot on May 24, 2020. We will be holding a shoot on Saturday, May 23, 2020. However, if you are hesitant to come and shoot, don’t. Our sport is meant to be fun and enjoyable. Please don’t stress yourself out over coming to shoot or not.
For the safety of our shooters, there will be new rules in place. First, we very strongly encourage the wearing of masks, bandanas (for face covering), or face shields for everyone at all times on the range. We are going to do our level best to keep social/physical distancing whenever possible. There will no lunch available at the range, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would like. We will not be handing out paper awards but will announce the results at the end of the day.
If you are not feeling well or are uncomfortable with coming, don’t put yourself or others at risk. If you come and appear sick, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the range. Keep in mind, despite our best efforts we are unable to determine between allergies, the common cold, or COVID-19. We ask that you use your best judgement and not attend a shoot if you appear ill. We will do our best as a Board to plan the event to deal with the complexity of factors involved, but each individual will need to make a decision based on his/her judgement of the risks and responsibilities involved in attending.
For new club members and renewals, please print out the online applications and have them ready when you arrive. For new shooters, please also have a range waiver printed and signed.
If you have any questions, please contact a Board member.
